Located in the Yakima Valley in an area called Parker Heights. Like Elephant Mountain, Sugarloaf has some of the warmest degree days which allows opportunity to ripen late season grapes. A very steep south-facing inclination provides good air drainage, a protection from frost damage in the early spring and late fall. We sourced our syrah from here.
Owned by Chuck and Claudia Fiola, this vineyard's primary soils are the Warden series silt loams. They occur on terraces underlain by glacial fluvial sediments which are highly prized for wine grape production because of good airflow and water drainage. We sourced our Mourvedre from here.
